Roadway Typical Sections
The intent of this project is to widen I-10 from four to six lanes from west of U.S. 90 to west of Capital Circle NW in Gadsden and Leon Counties. A typical section is a visual representation of what the new roadway would look like in comparison with the existing roadway. This image shows the existing and proposed roadway typical section that is being evaluated for this project.

Evaluation Matrix
As a part of the PD&E process, a “best fit” Build Alternative has been developed and evaluated for potential environmental impacts, as well as its satisfaction of the project’s Purpose and Need. This Evaluation Matrix summarizes the potential benefits and impacts to widening I-10 from west of S.R. 10 (U.S. 90) to west of S.R. 263 (Capital Circle NW) in Gadsden and Leon Counties. As the proposed option continues to be refined, impacts to social, environmental, cultural, and physical resources will be avoided and minimized to the extent practicable.
